You have clearly been too lenient. This is never advisable with the underclasses, as they are wont to give themselves ideas above their stations. Â£130 spent on a servant is preposterous!
You must be cruel to be kind, I am afraid. Once you reduce their wages to a guinea per month, and put a stop to this 'time off' you mention, things will surely improve.
If not, the only sane way of dealing with them is a sound thrashing with the birch rod.

Sack them and get some immigrants in....you can put them all in one room...thus saving accommodation...in fact you could let out the spare rooms to another 100 or so....charge them a fair rent.....in fact get illegal immigrants working that way you won't need to pay their stamp....employ me as you accountant all we will need will be a good taxation lawyer and we will be quids in. I am sure I will come up with some more spiffing ideas!

Burn down their quarters and frame them for the deed. Stop all of their wages until they have paid for the damage caused by the fire.

Then do not allow them to sleep in the new quarters, but rather in the draughty barn two miles away, and be sure to call them out every two hours every night for a month. This should show them who exactly is boss.
