These claims are only unfounded in the minds of the Obama supporters. For them, Obama can do no wrong and those making the claims probably are being paid by George Bush. |

Hi didn't refuse, he said:
"It is the department's policy not to comment on pending matters to say there is an investigation, to say there is not an investigation,"
"...there are regulations that are in place and there are requirements that have to be met before a special prosecutor [can be appointed]."
and
"I don't talk about any matter that might come into the purview of the Department of Justice."
It sounds like there very well could be an investigation. |

Not investigated in not the same as unfounded. Unfounded means the allegations were investigated and found to have no basis or fact. If you don't investigate, you just ignore the allegations. |

Why gosh they must be. Members of his own party would never make such an accusation. And his hand picked AG doesn't see any reason to investigate so it must be a bogus claim. On the other hand maybe if they ignore it the accusation will just go away. After all you don't hear anymore about the incumbent and the sale of his seat in the senate do you.
