My husband & I are in chapter 7 bankruptcy and forced to declare debts that are NOT ours so on the forms I continually wrote "not our debt" "Never recieved a bill " "not priveledged to such information"
"unknown" ETC

Funnily enough the false debt is current, whereas our actual debt isn't.
So no, the false debt isn't why we're filing (that's how we found out about the false debt, in the first place)
I do not believe it is a "clerical error" either. There are 4 more "false debts " that have been paid off, that show up on our records. One of them being a loan for $18,000 the year my husband was 17 with a part time minimum wage job. (I was 11 with no job that year)
