Are these reasons good enough to defend an intoxicated individual who has been accused of murder or assault?

1) the person induces extreme alcohol to the point of insanity where his or her actions were automatic.
2) the person is suffering from chronic alcoholism; that it is a need for them to drink or else they might die
3) the person is suffering from a mental disorder.
4) Both the accused and defendant were induced with extreme alcoholism, which makes it hard for court to decide who is guilty due to minimal details.
Please let me know if these reasons are good enough or not. If you like to add something, please do. I have to write a report on when intoxication can be used as a defense.
