I am against it because I have seen babies, both human and animal, that are born too early, and witnessed the struggle to survive. I work in medicine and am intimately acquainted with life and death, and just feel that the life is there for a reason.

I also walk a fence, because I live in a world where some people don't care for the beautiful children that are born to them, and because I live in a country that purports to be free, and we are already losing our freedoms at a terrific rate.

I am against abortions but that is my choice. I am not about to vote for someone just on abortion alone. I think the key to less abortions is secure economic conditions. They should be rare and discouraged. If men could get pregnant it would not even be an issue.

I'm pro-choice. It should not be for me to decide something like this for someone else. However, I think there needs to be better education about options for adoption. I'm pro-CHOICE, not pro-abortion.

because parents are killing their babies because they can't take the responsibility for their actions. that's a human being, not a "fish" like people say it is because you believe in evolution. Jehovah God made this world. and how could something like the human body be made on accident? so why do people do what they do before marriage? you made the action and now you get the reaction. if you didn't do it then you wouldn't have to worry about having kids you couldn't support or getting STDs. sure it might be fun but the bible says "there is pleasure in sin for a little season." very true, you may be having fun now but eventually you will reap what you've sown.

Never could figure how it began being called a fetus and at the same time when born its a baby. By using the word 'fetus' it gave a way out of not being called murder.
Life beats in the mothers womb on the day of conception, the beginning of the growth of a baby. I'd rather give birth to the baby and give it away than to have an abortion.
Many times people change their minds and keep their babies than give them away. Even if a woman is cold in feelings somewhere down the road the guilt of aborting will work the mind to no peace because the thought of killing my baby is hard to live with.
I am totally against abortion and am so blessed to be called MOM!

I'm for abortion for two major reasons. 1. What if someone gets raped and becomes pregnant. 2. A women's body is her decision and the government shouldn't control what she does to it (i say this as a guy)

I believe it is murder of a human being, if the child is not killed he will live on it is that simple. Abortion has become about convenience and lack of personal responsibility. An innocent child pays the price for the mother and fathers behavior, just because it is inconvenient it is killed. I am not talking about real medical reasons for abortion I am talking about lowlifes who use abortion as birth control.

I believe it is better to stop it before it is born rather than have it born into a family who cant provide for it where it gets sick or have the family put it up for adoption and have the kid live a miserable life.

Its Simply A Murder and Its hard to beleive for me that some peoples wants to do it just because they dont want kids, I think That kind of peoples should be punished by law, They can sterilize them selves instead of any abortion/murders.

I am against abortion, personnally, but I would never vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I believe...not that a fetus is a human being at conception, but rather, that if nothing was done to stop the fetus's growth, then it would be a human being. I also, believe that having a child is a blessing and a responsiblity, but to say that everyone is ready to have a child is another...this is where we talk about adoption as an option....

I did have a little problem with the partial birth abortion ban, that is because it states that even in the case where the female's health is at issue doctors are prohibited from using this technique. With that said, the procedure is really, really, really, disgusting...

I would never overturn Roe v. Wade, because in the United States, one man's opinion or belief is not enough to make a moral decision for 300 hundred million other Americans.

This is a tough subject, but this is more a personal choice and not a case where our government should establish laws to promote a value system.

I don't think anyone is for it. However, there are quite a number of people who do not think it should be illegal.
Think about it. Imagine finding out you are pregnant and you will be fined or thrown in jail if you are caught terminating the pregnancy. Imagine it being ILLEGAL - against the law. Kinda of scary.

I'm not against abortion, but I am against the arguments for it.

"It" is not her body unless "It" is referring to the fact that she will be going through a difficult time, as billions of other women have done. In any other case, "It" is an dependent but different organism with its own life and identity. And by life I mean 'biosis', the scientific definition of life.

What I don't understand are the women (and men) that act like there is any spirituality at all to human life after declaring themselves a supporter of abortion. Women that abort their own offspring/spawn prove that a mothers love is nothing to be praised. It is the individuals love that must be praised, not her title which so obviously carries no certain weight.

Pregnancy and Birth may hurt, a lot, but if a woman can 'get out of' parenthood, then I believe that a man should have the same option. He should be able to sever ties with a child he only support financially.If she has the choice, and he doesn't, then she should have the consequences, and he shouldn't.

The death penelty and abortion prove that life can hardly be called trully precious. How much I want to live is not going to stop people from killing me, especially if I have done something unspeakably wrong.

As an atheist, I believe it is wrong to deprive one of life unless there is nothing better than death. After all, there is nothing after death. When one ends, one is lost in time forever, never to live in the present again.

Im against abortion because its not the mothers life to take. its playing god and i really dont like that. in a case where the woman is raped i see it as making something wonderful out of a terrible expirience. children are the most wonderful thing in the world. when it wasnt a rape situation then it was the mother and father stupid mistake and they shouldnt take it out on an innocent being.

I am totally for it. The main reason is population control. The other reason is because it allows a young women to have a chance at life. I have dated two girls that got pregnant in high school but had abortions and ended up being college graduates. Why have a kid when you aren't ready and can't yet support it. Sure they shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place but where would they be now if they would have had those kids? Just a drain on our economy and all of humanity's resources.

I am for and against abortion depends on the situation. I would hate a young women walking home from school getting raped and pregnant be forced to carry the baby to term. On the other hand if a young women gets pregnant by her own choices that is different. Males have half the issue in conception so can't put total blame on the female.

A baby's life begins at birth socially. Science says life begins at conception. Society needs to decide when life begins; conception or at birth. If society decides life begins at birth than abortions would be legal; at conception abortions would be illegal.

Also decide if a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable. A tomato is taxed as a vegetable but science considers it a fruit.

I'm not for or against it. It's a very, very sad and disturbing thing, but there are so many different situations that could surround that decision, and I am just another human and I have no place to judge.
