At the age of 17 in the state of GA can you move out ?

Me and my mother do not get along at all and we are constantly fighting. I had a cousin that moved out at 17 and when her parents called the police they told them that they could do nothing about it because she was 17. The reason i am asking is because I plan to move in with my grandmother and mt mother would never let me do this. So i was wondering if i could do this without her permission.
