Will going bankrupt at my parents address effect them? and will it effect me in getting a works visa when travelling asia, south africa, australia and new zealand

Yes it will (on both counts). I take it you are are living in England/Wales.
I note some other answers have American spelling so you should not take note of them if you are in the UK. Similarly my answer won't be much use if you aren't!
Unlike other forms of bad credit which are registered to an individual, bankruptcy can become associated with an address.
Your name and address are published in a local newspaper, The London Gazette and on the Insolvency Register on the internet.
Creditors will log this information and associate the address with the bankruptcy.
Its one of the reasons why a solicitor does a bankruptcy search on the property when you are buying a house.
You do need some visa advice. America and Australia in particular are very sensitive about debt. It might be wise to get your visa before you go bankrupt but i'm a debt advisor not a visa advisor! |

No it will not effect your parents in any way. My brother went through at my parents house and it didn't effect them at all. Your the one going through this not your parents. It's your credit that will be destroyed in this bankruptcy. You'll want to check because the laws are changing on bankruptcy where the people filing still have to pay their bills. My neighbor just went threw it a month ago and he has to pay all his bills. I didn't believe him till I read the court documents. So check into this before you mess up your credit even more. |

dunno about travelling but it definitely wont affect your parents.
im in the same boat and theyve had no problems.
the bankruptcy is on you not them |

It shouldn't, though there is a chance of your credit history getting accidentally confused with theirs, especially if one of your parents has the same first name as you. |

Yes the house will become black listed, as long as you're not associated with the company going bankrupt, you'll need to write a letter. |
