My nights of late have suddenly become more meaning full, Sitting at my computer reading more and more about biometric ID and how we're being forced into it like chickens into a cage.
No-one has really thought it through enough, No-one understands how this magical safe-making wizardry will happen and exactly when.
Electronic passports are enough, as are photo ID driving licenses, and whats this i'm hearing about it becoming another £67 more expensive to be a resident of the UK by introducing a new form of ID?
I think its going too far, Like some, I had my details stolen 2 years ago upon my application to the royal marines from a laptop left in some desk-jockey's car (probably a politician)
I was angry, worried and more importantly left feeling betrayed by the MoD and forces recruitment.
But if you think about This new "ID" system the exact thing could happen on a far greater scale.
I for one will not consent to any of it and if i could find out who plans to host the information i'd kill them, destroy they're servers / proxy hosts along with all the information.
Its not to protect people, its to exploit them

I have to say It worries me that someone could steel my identity, also the idea of someone having my finger prints and retina scan is initially frightening, until you consider that, if there's ever any question, the one with them actually attached to their body in the right place with no stitches is probably going to be deemed genuine ;-)
I don't know though, maybe a blind man wearing false eyes with a copy or your retina in, and some medical gloves with your finger prints laser etched on the outside... now he could get you into lots of trouble.
I'm sure it will happen at some point, but you've gotta admit, life just got a lot harder for the would be impersonator. |

As a person who has had one of these ID cards for many years, its benefits far outweighs its negative aspects
