British MEP is charged with fraud?

Tom Wise, 60, from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, was elected for UKIP in 2004 but is now sitting as an Independent MEP for East Anglia.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the UK police inquiry followed a news report in 2005 concerning Mr Wise's use of allowances.
He has been charged with fraud and money laundering. It seems it is not only the main parties that milk the system but if he had been a Labour or Conservative MP would he and his help be charged for these offences looking at the recent past I would say not?
Do you feel the three main parties get away with such offenses whilst the others are charged with fraud ect?

The wrong type of person is entering politics. They are not in it to serve the community as they claim on the doostep when they want us to vote for them. They are careerists in it for the money and status and because they can still hold down additional jobs as consultants and lawyers making a fortune in cash. Not all of them are on the gravy train but their conspicuous silence only adds to the ongoing controversey.
Its the double standards that gets in my throat. If you o I were to fiddle just 50pence we would b instantly sacked without a thought for our wellbeing. I have to give credit to the Lib Dem spokesmen who seem to speak some sense on this. The whole debacle is an absolute disgrace it is time one or two of them were jailed for theft on a grand scale. |

If the police have evidence it will come out in court. Considering the legal frauds this governments ministers like McNulty,Smith,Darling etc have committed and that many other M.P.'s of all parties are guilty of he should get off lightly if convicted. |
