Californians agree, but the point is, you really are taking this out of context. California colleges in general are not offering scolarships to illegals. A couple of community colleges in Southern/Central CA. have attempted to establish "privately funded," memorial scholarships in honor of an immigrant advocate killed by a drunk driver in Southern California.
Granted, I don't understand the concept either nor do I condone it, but let's keep it in it's proper perspective. These are very small scholarships funded by private donations/citizens and it certainly isn't a state wide effort by any stretch of the imagination. Your question gives the wrong impression. |

It's private scholarships, but still a slap in the face to students and their folks who are struggling to pay the rising costs to attend college in Cali. Legal immigrants should be outraged as well. And because the beneficiary is illegally in our Country, it shouldn't be accepted at a public college. |
