Unemployment is only for layoffs and terminations. Resignations don't count unless you have a medical reason...and then if it was medical, you could claim disability.

Well you can be because even people who have actually a good job application record are still unemployed. Now my feeling is that if the job you have is like a McDonalds and is everywhere than you are off the hook!!! But if you cannot move to another branch like Dunder Mifflin in "The Office" than find competitors of the job and see if they are anywhere else, because you have to find a chain. No chain than you really aren't in with any option.
