Hi, I work at pet smart. Ive get sick alot which my manger new about which he has gotten Doctor notes hospital papers n what not. Ive taken two days off last week because i was seriously sick and i couldn't move. Now he has cut my hours so this week i have only gotten 3 hours. Next week None. Im great at my Job everyone likes me. But can I get fired for being sick? Even with proof? Im 18 years old I have gotten sick since i was in forth grade. I honestly think they should be paying more attention to Other people who work for them who honestly steals from them. I haven't done anything wrong Ive called in and i even went in every day when they needed me to be there. I cannot help being sick It runs in my family I have a weak immune System and I get Migraine headaches that Kill me to where i Cannot move at all.

If you have a disability your employer has to make "reasonable accommodation" for you, But the employer hires you to do a job, and it doesn't matter how well you do it when you are there if you are NOT there when he needs you.

The employer has to accommodate but the employer does not have to keep an employee whose health is such that they cannot do the job,

I know that seems unfair to you but it's no more unfair than it would be to force the employer to keep you when you cannot do what he hired you to do. And it's not a temporary situation from what you say, he can't expect it to get better...
