Can I get my licence early since my family is in need of me having one?

OKay, So I am 17 and have my permitt. I have not done drivers ed due to the fact that my family can not afford it. Recently my grandmother got diagnosed with Cancer and is to weak to drive or do anything. My dad works a full time job, and often jobs after work. I heard from somone that there is a way to get my license as long as I pass my drivers test because my family is in need of me driving. Is this true? If so how do I get it, because it would REALLY help me and my family out right now. The permit was a good idea till I found out how often my grandma is to sick to go anywhere, but that doesn't stop the family from needing food or my brother needing to be picked up or dripped off places. Can someone help me?

YOur state DMV might qualify you for a hardship license. BUT NOT UNTILL you pass your tests.

it real hard to say in that situation... you can plead at the DMV at the worse they will say no... if you can prove for medical reasons the might .. as long as you have completed your supervised driving hours.. if you took drivers Ed and passed at school .. it should be no problem at all
