im 16 and have been offered a job at a pub if i'm legally allowed to work, i'm pretty sure i'm npt allowed to serve alcohol but can i wash dishes or work on the floor taking orders for food?

I am pretty sure you are right, but Google NSW Liquor Licencing - there would be a website with the answer, or it would tell you who to contact to find out.
