Can a non-US citizen buy a gun in the USA?

I was wondering, i am a permanent resident of the US and have a clean criminal record. Can i purchase a gun. And can i take the CCW exam?
I live in Ohio.

You must be a legal resident of the US and a resident of Ohio for at least 45 days. Read the CCW laws at this link

go to section 1-8 and read the Sheriff's rules for issuing the license.

If you meet the criteria, you can take the exam and have a CCW license. As for purchasing a gun, you need to be at least 21, and a Citizen of the US with no criminal history. Hope that helps. Get your citizenship. It's not that hard to do.
