Can they reduce the vacation that you are entitled to earn, going forward from today? Yes.
Can they cancel vacation that you have already earned? No.
In CA your vacation is considered part of your pay. They can reduce your pay at any time, but they cannot take away what you have already earned.

Vacation is a benefit, not a right. Unless you have it in writing that they cannot take it away, they can.
On the plus side, you should at least have some relief that they are doing this to save some money instead of making cuts int he workforce (IE: layoffs). |
