recently i tried to get a payday loan ($100) using a bank statement that I forged a little bit (i made my pay look larger), the company saw this and decided not to give me the loan. Is there any risk of them filing a fraud charge even though I did not receive any funds??

You could be but the payday loan company is in business to turn a profit. They'll probably just tell you not to come back to their business again and hope you pull the same thing with their competitors. They gain nothing by prosecuting you. |

No you will not be charged but your name may be flagged as all pay day loan places use a centralized system to make sure you are not getting several loans from multiple places. Hope you learned your lesson! |

Yes, you can be charged for fraud. That was a stupid decision. Plus, you should NEVER use a payday loan service. They are ripoffs. They are a tax to broke people. I don't know what you wanted a payday loan for, but whatever it is, put it on hold until you can pay for it in cash. Save up the RIGHT way. Instant gratification comes at a price. Don't delude yourself. |
