ok i got married a year ago i havent changed to the ssc yet and we recentally split well i need a job asap and i dont know if its ok to use my maidan name or if i have to use married i am gonna get it changed but that 10 days and stuff and if i get a job b4 that i want to know if i can use it, i live in wisconsin if that matters

usually you can go by the name on the card... my sister does.. she has yet to change to her married name at work |

Use the name you intend to use following split. If there are any questions, simply explain that you may still be listed under your married name. Everyone understands this type of gap. |

You can keep your maiden name or dump it as you please. All they are going to do is check your social security number. There shouldn't be an issue. If they ask, say this is my maiden name, I'm getting a divorce, just haven't changed the name yet. That'll be the end of it. |
