You can't even write. Stay in school. If you think school is hard, just wait till you have to get a job. |

Clearly, you need to finish school. As far as missing classes, knock it off- just do what you are supposed to do. Get your butt in there everyday and work hard. |

This is stupid to even ask. Finish high school. |

By the grammar and misspellings in your question, I suggest Very strongly that you don't drop out of school.
The truth is....no one will give a job to a person that's only education is the X-Box and My-space.
I don't say this to be a wise guy....you really don't want to live your life as a moron.
Good luck |

If you drop out, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. |

Can't imagine why you'd want to drop out of college considering the accuracy of your spelling, grammar and typing skills?
You'll go far my friend! |

Even if you get straight c- or d's, you should at least do the minimum to get your diploma, whatever that is. I cannot GUARANTEE you a lot in life, but I can GUARANTEE you that you will be glad you graduated. You can then go to work or (community) college or the military or whatever. It will not take several years for you to realize you made the right choice. You will know it as soon as you get that diploma.
Even if you barely pass the rest, try to select one or two subjects you enjoy the most, and try to do as well in them as possible. You will be very glad you did. |

I hear this all the time but I dropped out at 16, got a job, moved out and lived on my own for a year. I never asked the courts permission. Why would I; its really none of their damn business.
Anyway I moved out for 1 year and then got smart and went back to live with my dad who made me finish high school. He was not the greatest dad in the world but he made me finish HS and I am very glad he did that.
Don't drop out; you will regret it. |

I live in Penna., so I'm not positive aboutKentucky: If your parents have custody, they could be fined if you do not attend the minimum number of days unless you have a doctor's note. Once you are 17, the pressure gets less from the schools but they have to at least send letters to your parents reminding them of your need to attend school. |

Have you discussed this with your guardians first? And did you think this out carefully? Do you have a stable job to help you with bills? Thinking this out carefully will help you decide whether or not you need to drop out or just take a break and get a GED. There is also homeschooling if either of your guardians has the time to help you. Life out there after leaving school is no easy task. Good luck on your decision. |

Just because your parents can sign a piece of paper allowing you to drop of out school in one state, does not mean it's that simple in other states.
In KY, at a minimum, you have to have parental permission, you and your parents have to have a conference with the principal and also a counseling session with the school counselor. As far as court approval--well, it certainly is possible that you would need that as well.
Stay in school. You won’t go far without a high school diploma. Your goals in life should be higher than struggling just to afford rent and food. And without a high school diploma, chances are high that at some point down the line the taxpayers will have to provide at least some assistance to you/your future family. Speaking as a taxpayer I’m sick of having to support people because they’re too stupid to stay in school.
As I agree with the others who have said that you obviously need to stay in school. I’ve seen 2nd graders with better spelling and grammar skills. Mean? Maybe. True? Absolutely. |

first off it is the dumbest thing ever to drop out, my brother is the same age and he wanted to until he found things that he liked to do in school, do you know that if you dropped out now you just wasted like 90% of your life, all you have accomplished, all the grades you have passed will be flushed away. I am a senior and I get that way some time but I would never actually do it. just do your best and if you miss alot try to make it up |

Yes you can with your parents authorization! But you can't join the Army until you're 17 with your parents authorization! Wal-Mart isn't hiring now! Good luck and stay in school! |

Yes you can drop out at 16. Your teacher sounds like a typical clueless dreg shaping our future generation with ignorance.
Your parents could also just home school you, and/or you could get your GED. It's not hard all. Don't listen to all these mean people who say you're a bad speller and you have poor grammar. I've seen ten times worse out of college grads. People seem to think school makes them smarter, but it usually just makes them annoying and stuck up. Anyway, you can always take classes somewhere at your own pace if you want to learn a trade or get a degree while you work. In my experience, high school did a poor job of preparing people for college. Just don't have any kids yet!! |
