Can i get my license suspended if i got a careless driving ticket?

i got into a car accident in the parkway on my way home i was driving from the jersey shore back home, when the car in front of me braked so i tried avoiding him so i switched lanes and my car went out of control so i hit a car on the passenger side door. we called the cops and the guy was very nice about everything but at the end i ended getting a careless driving ticket. i have i provisional license, my question is can i get my license suspended for getting a careless driving ticket?

the accident was on the exit 108 on the nj parkway

If you have a NJ provisional license, I don't think you will be suspended for this one violation. A careless driving conviction is 2 points on your record and you need 12 to be suspended. However, there may be some special NJ rule about provisional licenses that I couldn't find. Here is the NJ DMV website:
