i had to drop out of school b/c my mom was leaving the state so i was to my self & had to get a full time job to pay my rent so i dropped out & instead of going for my ged i found a school that u pay $600.00 and u do regular school work test exams etc... for a month and u get ur high school diploma well i thought it was legit b/c he was registered on the florida department of education site come to find out when i tried enrolling myself into college the other day they told me it wasnt accredited i have forms stating its not from the college and he has an accrediting agency but the college says they dont take the accredidation, its been a month now & all i want is to get my $ so i can go to college i have a 10 month old son i just wanna make a future for us, he agreed to give it to me in the begining when they found out if the college wouldnt accept me now he said i have to wait b/c there going to involve their lawyers that the school is disciminating me what should i do??? can i sue him back for my money

Plz no nasty opinions i wanted 2 stay in school for gods sake i was an ab honor roll student an only had 1 more year

Yes, sue him in small claims court for breach of contract. He did not sell you what you bargained for.

You should know enough now to pass the GED though. So why not do that and get into college?

You may be out of luck. Being accredited and being accredited by the right agency or group are two different things. The college should have specified the required accreditation or be able to explain why the one your school has is not acceptable. This could very well be a mistake. I would work with him as much as possible to resolve the situation.
