Can paedophiles be rehabilitated or should they be locked up for life and or castrated?

Lock 'em up for life. Put 'em in with the rest of the rapists and let them spend the rest of their lives in fear of bending over at the wrong time. Someone demented enough to go after a child is beyond repair.

it's not only men who are paedophiles. women are too. I think there must be lots of paedophiles who struggle against their desire and don't offend but if they offend once they are likely to re offend again. I think they need constant supervision once they leave prison.

I have to respectfully disagree with the notion that it is somehow natural to have those kind of urges. There is no greater crime that those committed against the defenseless.

Depending on the degree/extent of their offence.They do deserve a second chance if they are trying to become responsible citizens. Measures need to be put in place to ensure that they are constantly monitored e.g make them wear a tag.
