If you are speaking of in the United States, it depends on the state. Some states like Ohio and Texas allow for durable power of attorney incorporated into the will, you would need to check your state specifically. You failed to say what state you are in so I am not comfortable claiming all states allow this practice, as that may not in fact be true.
