Pirates will continue pirating and more will join their ranks unless these Somali pirates are caught and made an example of.

They should never make it to shore. politics is what is keeping them in business. Foreign governments have let it go on too long but I think it has come to a ahead now. Obama has no balls so where it goes from here??? The seals could end it in 10 minutes without loss of American lives. Pirates are hostis generis humanis. Their ships can be seized by the navy of any state, and their crews can be tried by the courts of any country. They can be punished according to the law of the state that tries them.

Not likely since Somalia is in total anarchy and no government of any kind exists there.there would be no way to extradite the pirates.the best way to get rid of them would be several countries operating together to use their military resources to eradicate them.There would be no legal recourse for the problem.

They are going to try some of them in Kenya. I think any country that catches them can try them. Death penalty would depend on the country that tries them.

Listen Up Americans , Let me teach you something first they are not pirates they are National Somali cost guard .the Somali Navy has a right to protected their own water. This captain was arrest for violation of the low and he will be prosecuted for his violation .
