Not until they legalize it, then the war is over. But, it'll never happen, too much money is being made by the "big cats" and they are the ones making and passing the laws. Your biggest drug dealers are involved in law and politics. It's that "nice family" that lives in the upper class part of town. |

If they want to beat drugs they need to make it a formal, taxable enterprise. That will eliminate the scumbags. It worked for booze. |

The war has been won,,,by the dealers!!! |

The governor of Florida is an idiot; we've been fighting the War On Drugs for decades with absolutely no success. Adding in the death penalty would be just one more horribly ill effect of this ill-conceived policy. |

No because not all drug dealers are street hustlers doling out street drugs, think about how many are addicted to prescription drugs. I see them drug dealers everyday in hospitals and doctors offices. |

There is no war "on" drugs. Never was. |

No, never. They should create a new WALLED city, you screw up, you are out. All the bad people in jail are set free and they kill and drug each other to death. |

No way, nohow. |

No, because there are 5 new drug dealers that spring up for each one that is slain..it will be impossible to win, just like the war on terror because there is always someone who hates someone somewhere else.. |

Wow, I have been saying that for a long time. That would be a real war on drugs. Add to that blow up the crack houses and lob missiles at the manufacturing sites. I like the way he thinks. So far, we haven't even declared war on drugs, even though drugs kill more Americans than terrorists can dream about. Let's get nasty about it. |

How dumb. How unbelievably dumb. For each dealer, there's sixty more who come to him for their supply and they in turn peddle them out. Getting rid of one can't possibly do much. |

Well, the death penalty hasn't stopped murder from occurring so I seriously doubt that it would work for drug trafficking. The problem, in my opinion, is that it will not be won because you are attacking the wrong source of the issue. You cannot end supply when demand is so high. Demand remains high and there's too much money to be made on the supply side due to that demand.
If you can decrease demand (how that could be done is debatable and probably impossible) then the war on drugs could be won. Until that occurs, it will continue. |

Not the way we are fighting it; but I admire his enthusiasm. |

No....you gotta stop taking the drugs....Then you might win |

The war on drugs can't be won until it has clear, measurable goals. Killing all drug dealers is hardly a clear objective. |

Never. |

It would of worked years ago but there are too many addicted today. They will get the drugs one way or another. There should of been stiffer penalitys for dealers years back. Especially for deasling to children. I doubt the war on drugs will ever be won. We just need to keep fighting it to do the best we can to curtail it. We run out one bunch and another moves in. |
