The house the kids came home to is very close to my house so I saw all the cops come and take the car away (which they got back today).
Their 'friend' gets shot, they leave the scene, they go back to the scene, and then leave again. They came home, and eventually called the cops and their 'friend' died from bleeding out.
Can the kids get in trouble for leaving the one to die...twice?

Well, first of all, there ain't no carjacker. One of those two (or another friend) shot that kid, and they dumped the gun and made up that story on the way home. Bet.
If this highly improbable story turns out to be the truth, it could go either way. If these are gang-bangers who got into a bad drug deal and got their friend killed, you can bet they'll be on the hook for his murder.
If they wanted to ditch their beer and cigarettes before they called the cops, and let their friend die, that's "reckless disregard" and a possible manslaughter charge.
If they're just some really immature and stupid kids; they may not be charged. But don't count on it. ;) |
