As long as a paternity test proves you are the biological father, whether you wanted it or not will not matter, you will be held financially responsible until the child's 18th birthday...period.

Yes. I see that maybe you feel trapped, but since whatever birth control you used did not work, the baby is now your responsibility. Its a hard lesson to learn. Its not the babys fault though and hopefully you will do everything you can to help it. The baby deserves to be taken care of. She did not get pregnant by herself. I hope you do the right thing. You created this life, now it's time to man up and take responsibility. It's kinda funny becasue in a related story a guy who wasnt the childs real father had to pay child support to his ex-wife for a child that wasnt his becasue he was in a Father figure position while they were together.
