So heres the deal people, I got a moving violation "47 in a 30" so the dude says, (which I wasn't, but i'll get to that later) so if someone is going 17mph over the speed limit shouldn't the cop turn on his lights right at that time the speed was violated?
So two streets and two stop sings later the cop tunrs on his lights right when I turned into my church parking lot (because I was going to church the day in question).
So I ask him " is there a problem officer" and he said "yes I'm pulling you over for going "47 in a "35" back on such in such Rd and of corse with his false statement I had to beg to differ. I said "no Sir I was not going 47 in a 35 and the officer saids yes you were bc you were the only car on that rd.
Which was another false statment bc I had passed to other cars going the opposite direction on that very rd. which I told the officer.
So he askes me for my papers L.R.I the usually shpeel then he goes to his car and comes back and saids that he had to give me a "Sitation" for speeding. $100.
My first speeding ticket ever, I never been pulled over or anything.
So shouldn't I have gotten a brake
And what's up with pulling people over at chruch?

He caught you and then tailed you while he was probably running your plates to see if you had any warrants outstanding.
Or he was tailing you to see if you were going to go faster than you were before.
I'm not going to get into if you were or were not speeding...but if you were then you get a ticket. Just because it was your first time doesn't mean you should get a break. Most everyone gets a speeding ticket or 2 in their life. |

He caught you speeding and ran your plates before he pulled you over. It just happened to be in your church parking lot, because that's where he caught up to you. NO, lol, if they gave everyone a break on getting their first ticket, nobody would ever get their first ticket! |

when he chooses to pull you is up to him
he most likely took the rime to run your tags first this is legal
you have no chance at winning judges always side with the officer
pay your fine and slow down |

The cop doesn't have to pull you over right away. He could have been checking your vehicle registration to determine if the vehicle was stolen. He also didn't pull you over at the church but followed you there. He can give you a citation at the church just the same as he could follow you home and give you a citation in your own yard.
The first thing you should have done if you believed you were not going that fast is to see the evidence he had that you were speeding. Did he use a radar? Was he following you at that speed? Or was he just guessing? You can always fight the ticket if you believe he was wrong. |

Sounds like a moody officer.
God its so wrong of him firstly is sounds awful to pull someone over at a church. Secondly if he wanted to tell you off or fine you for it he should of done so when he noticed not hours and roads later.
Did the road have any spaces to park?
Maybe he wanted to get to the nearest safest place from wherever you were or thought you'd speed off if he told you to pull over ?
