Ha ha you got attacked by a store employee. You didn't happen to get tackled by a theft or security guard did you. If you did then yes but you will lose. Now if a stocker or sacker or cashier tackled you and it wasn't to apprehend you for theft but a personal attack then yes. This is America man sue to your hearts desire.

First thing you should do is have a police report taken, then sign a complaint against this individual. Did you receive any injuries and did you require medical attention? The court may allow you to be compensated for damages, or you could file a civil suit against the company and the individual. I don't know the whole story though, you didn't give too much info.

Yes, if it was related to his employment. The employer might be liable under the doctrine of resondeat superior

Employers are responsible for their employees while they are on the clock. Unless you got caught shoplifting or trying to burn the place to the ground, you should be able to sue the hell out of them.
