Well maybe if you get caught with it you would get arrested. Most likely you could get hurt by the ones you stole it from. They couldnt turn you in though or they would be in trouble. |

the question is can you (by law) steal a prohibited article..........you can be arrested for having the cannabis but im not sure about stealing it (and if you think of using "its not mine.....i stole it" as a defence ya that wont work lol) |

where did you steal it from, if you stole it from drug dealers no because they are not going to tell the police you stole cannabis from them, but be carefull if it was drug dealers as they will go to many lenghs to get it back or make you pay.

If you're caught with it, yes. Possession is illegal.
Whether the person it was stolen from calls the police or seeks other forms of justice is a gamble the thief has to take. |

Definitely. Possession is the issue. The sentence depends on the jurisdiction. What country are you in, what state, is the prosecution state or federal? Check out the NORML website for a link to the legal charts to answer with numbers. |

But your real worry is that you may have stolen from someone upleasant. Sentences range from sack beatings, gun-shot wounds, cuts, falls from high places... |

Last time someone stole near that amount where I come from, the guy took an icepick and smashed the theif's toes in, then threw him into a ditch two hours away from his house, and told him to crawl home.

hundreds of pounds of cannabis would be seen as it was intended to supply so you would have a jail term, if its your first offence you could serve anything up to 14 years, in the uk. |
