this is a tricky subject. once you give somone a gift or you just them something it becomes their property. and afterwards if you take it back that can be considered theft. |

Once you give a gift then you are transferring ownership to the recipient. Unless they want to gift it back then your answer is unequivicably NO. That is, unless you had some form of contract with the recipient with regards to the gift. |

ha! i don't think it's a legal matter. unless of course that person sues you for taking away their Xbox 360.
so yea, legally you can. and legally they can kick you in the kidney for doing it. |

No. You can ask to have it returned though. Just ask any guy who called off his engagement and wanted the ring back. |

no- the only gift that can be retracted is a gift given under condition, like for example- an engagement ring, it is a gift onto the condition of marriage - and once it has been fullfilled is permantly given to the reciever. |

I don't think it's illegal, but it is strange and unethical. It's just one of those things that every person comes pre-programmed not to do, I guess. |

No. Once given it is not yours. If you just take it, that's now stealing. |
