I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties but life is tough for most of us, tougher for those with children.

Regardless, your difficulties do not negate your responsibility to your children or your obligation to pay child support.

If you have proof of your medical problems and lack of income, go back to court and have your order for support amended.

Man take care of your dm kids. You can work, it just not the type of work you want. You can baby sit, wash windows, sweep floors. Something. It for the child not you. MAN UP.

Not to put too fine a point on it; if the kid is still eating, you need to pay. The court may adjust the amounts; may take it from your disability; might take your drivers license; might put you in jail.

You can apply for temporary disability, then they can garnish wages from that to pay the child support you owe. Face it, there are ways to pay for this. It just sounds like you want out from paying.

Have you been medically evaluated? If not, you need to go to the doctor and get checked out. If he finds you cannot work, you will then be able to apply for Social Security Disability. Be aware, however, that it takes about 2 years to get approved. Otherwise, you may just have to bear the pain and work, that's the only way you'll be able to meet your obligations.

You will have to explain to the court why you can't pay and how are you earning a living.

If your doctor certifies that you cannot work then address the court and your wife about the situation. Offer other ways to help as Sara stated. Watching your children in leiu of daycare may be a viable option. Just because you are sick does not absolve you of your responsibilities. Obviously you can be online, what about obtaining an online job working from home. Where there's a will, there's a way & since they are your children also, the will should be concern for your children's well-being which should provide the motivation for you to find the way.

You don't say what illness you have, but there is no illness that has no treatment or cure. Good luck convincing the court.

you need to explain your situation to your ex wife and authorities and try and come to a compromise.
if you arnt earning anything it makes it hard to pay.
if you dont have any money try doing other things for your child. offer to babysit so your ex can work more, take the kid(s) to sports and all the things they need to go.
just be there to help out emotionally and socially till you are well enough to work again

Discuss it with the mother of your children and go to court to see if you can have your child support arrangement adjusted.

If your problem is real and you're seeing a doctor, you do not have to pay. Just make sure you don't get caught doing yard work or something like that.

I am only speaking through observation, but from what I gather. If the person was already getting child support and you became unable to pay the friend of the court will continue to pay the support to the child. When you become able to pay they will start taking out current and past owed money from your income source. If you were in an agreement not involving an agency then I am not sure, but if you do not pay the child guardian may report it to an agency that will step in and take the money from you when you have a form of income. Again this is only from observation. I have no children of my own.
