My brother was driving my car when it got hit by another driver. My car was not insured, but my brother does have insurance on his cars. He says he was turning right into our drive way when all of the sudden he felt a car hit him from behind. The driver from the other car told my brother to just give him all of his information and he would call my brothers insurance so they could pay for the damages done to his car, eventhough he was the one who hit. He blamed my brother for the accident arguing my brother didn't signaled to make the turn. My brother denied all of this and swears he did signaled to make the turn. My brother called 911 and when the other driver saw this he took off. His car didn't have license plates so my brother wasn't able to write down any information. When the police officer arrived, my brother told him everything that happened and also described the other car to the officer. My brother has to go to court on January and I'm just wondering what I should do. We don't know how to look for the other driver, I know there is a fine for driving without insurance, but I don't know how much it will be.
