Im a college student from mexico who came to the states, legally, with the purpose of improving my english skills, during that time i decided to work with a fake ss, then the girlfriend that i had got pregnant and since we weren't together anymore she filed for child support, since i didnt have a real ss i told her that i didnt want to get in trouble by filling the Child support paperwork with a fake ss, i told her that i would never stop supporting my son and that i would always be there for the him, by that time i was close to getting my work authorization card and my real social security number, so i told her to wait until i had that and then file for child support, i was supporting the baby by giving her cash money every time i would get paid at work. She didn't wait and filed, she wanted to do everthing she could do to screw me over, anyway, i started paying child support back in august and six months later i get my real ss and my work authorization card, i had to quit the place i was working cause i needed to start working wit my new ss immediately, now the question is, can i change that information (ss#) at the child support agency? would that get me in trouble?
