If someone cut my hair without my permission, I would kick their silly little azz. When I was done with them, I might contact a lawyer to sue. Or, to represent me. Either way, I guess you could do both. Kick their azz and then sue. I'm sure you would win. But, you'd be one of those people that sue over stupid stuff. Just kick their azz and be done with it. |

You could theoretically, but unless it is a significant cut your claim will be dismissed.
I'm sure you can prove that they cut your hair, but what can you prove as far as a resulting negative consequence?
This is a very gray area because if someone comes at you with scissors and cuts your hair without your permission, logically you call police and they apprehend the individual. In this case of a person cutting your hair, and then you reporting it within a passing of time or days, it is hard to prove that any significant sufferage occurred.
I hope you're not thinking of asking someone to cut your hair, and then later claiming that it was non-consenting. |
|

ehhh.
|
yes. because that's your property and no one has the right to touch it without your permission
someone i know is a lawyer and one of his clients sued a girl cuz she took his patty off of his grill while he was BBQing. he said that the patty was his property and she had no right touching it. and he won. |

Yes, you can sue. The crime would be 'battery'. You can sue for monetary damages, and likely win, if you suffered some financial loss because of it. So, if you had long hair and someone hacked it off, you could sue for having to purchase a wig until the hair grows back, or you could sue for the cost of having to get your hair professionally cut to make it look decent.
If you livlihood involved need hair of a certain length or style, say modeling, then you may sue for your inability to fulfill your contract. |

You can sue for anything, it doesn't mean you'll be awarded anything. |

I wouldn't doubt it. it's your body and technically it could be seen as "damage" but I wouldn't hold my breath on this one lol it's funny to say the least. |

no, file for battery, yes. |

You could sue, but couldn't win anything. You have no loss of income, pain, or suffering, to compensate. Hair is dead, and so can't hurt when cut, and no one paid you a salary to grow your hair long, so you'd have no loss of income when it was cut. No loss means no compensation...even if you win the suit. |

yes you can sue anyone for anything
you might not win
but you can always sue them for it |

You could take them to small claims court and sue them for pain and suffering. Maybe even get them on charges of damage to personal property since your hair belongs to you. You could also get reimbursed for getting your hair redone at an "expensive" salon. |

You could probably argue that it is battery, but I'm not sure how likely a jury would award you anything. If they did it would wind up being what like $40. |
