That's great....then you can be grossed out by all those fat women that you don't want to see with their clothes on, much less with their clothes off. Women can just hang their newborn babies from their breasts and walk around in public while everybody glares at them. Lovely...just lovely. As far as I am concerned you guys can put your shirts back on....nobody wants to see all that!

In Windsor Canada, it is. However I haven't been there in a while, so I am not sure that women actually do that.

Actually, this issue came up in Austin, Texas in the mid-70's. Several activists in the women's movement pointed out that men could walk down the street without a shirt (in the hot Texas weather), but women were not allowed to do so. This was clearly a case of gender-based discrimination. Local law enforcement did not want to test that in court. It was decided that only if a woman's topless state caused a public disturbance (a separate criminal offense) would any action be taken against a woman for going topless. As men, we behaved ourselves and created NO disturbances. (Of course, restaurants and such still had a "no shirt, no service" policy, but that was on private property, etc.)

I also believe in equality, and for that reason I believe that we should go back to the twenties when its was illegal for men to go out in public bare chested. I have seen altogether too many pot bellied men showing themselves off. If you think only surgically enhanced young women will be removing their tops for your delectation, you will be disappointed. Its always seemed to me that those with the least to show are the first to show it as they just don't care. Watch out for us grandmas, au natural sunbathing seems like fun to me, and trust me, you don't wanna look.

America is way to far behind the times when it comes to such a thing. Americans are proods, I am no diffarent. Would not be caught dead out in public like that...but other countries see no harm in it.

If a women wants to go topless I have boys and a Mr. who (except my gay son) would love to have this happen...if a gal wants to, go for it....of course you realize the 90 year old women are going to do this too....the women who are over 300 lbs can do it too, if this is the case....real women are going to do this, not just the young ones.

Okay, so allowing it will not cause everybody to stop wear shirts. Fat women have larger breasts so they wont be able to walk without a bra too long, since their backs will hurt. I think mostly on very hot summer days will women walk down to the beach topless, if it will be allowed. But i can't say anything, i'm not american and in my country i think it's legal to be topless only on the beach.
