I've seen and heard ads on TV and radio about creating a will online for a fraction of the cost a lawyer would charge. My question, Are these documents legal and acknowledged in a Court of Law. With all these scams going around is it advisable to do this, taking into account that a lot of important information will be furnished to a site whose legitimacy you know nothing about. Or would it be safer to just pay a lawyer and ease the worries.

Anything you write is legal.... IF IT IS RECORDED.
the online sites are fine, but if you have considerable assets, perhaps a Will is not right for your heirs.
Check out some online information about wills and estate planning, but to answer your question... yes they can save you money and be legally binding. |

You can purchase a "Legal Will" online. I did from Ebay and I had it Notorized with Witness's to make it Legal.It is much Cheaper than dealing with a Lawyer, plus you are able to Update your Will( make Copies before you complete it) as time goes on without the High Cost of having a Lawyer do it. |

Go to legalzoom.com and you can print up the forms your self at home....it works well I've done it..
