Cutting trees on private property

Hello: I have a question about the cutting down of about 30 trees at the home I rent in N. Hollywood, which I'd like to stop from happening. When I moved into this rental property, 11 years ago, I was welcomed by the landlord as someone who wanted to rent this property because it would allow me to do gardening. There were only a few small trees and bushes on the property line, but otherwise this property had nothing growing and worn out soil. I planted over 25 trees (some I got from Tree People) as well as many other bushes and plants and they've grown large now, and have few remaining spots without greenery. I expected that many would die, but none has, and they've been joined over the years by other trees, apparently planted by birds or the wind, but many regretably close to the house. I have spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars improving this properties landscaping. Yesterday my landlord stated that her insurance company told her that trees were dangerous and wants her to cut down all the trees and even the bushes. A recently planted vegetable garden would also have to go, as it's in the way of removing the trees. While my landlord has been usually cooperative and generally a good landlord, she showed little flexibility on this when I attempted to negotiate a rescue of a few of the trees, and or to limit the cutting to branches. Any suggestions as to how I might slow,stop, or mitigate this event. While I am in agreement that some of the trees should go, and she should do whatever is necessary to protect this home, this blanket cutting of all vegetation against my wishes is too much. I provide more summer shade in an area where 100 degrees is common in the summer, and add to the cleaning of air in this section of the city of Los Angeles than all the other homes on the block put together, but insurance companies and landlords often regard trees as a nuisance or destructive. I'll admit that I did a better job of upkeep on these trees until two years ago, when I became disabled and unable to walk, otherwise I'd do the cutting on these trees myself, at least until I have had a couple of successful surgeries. My Landlord has also forbid me from cutting the trees, but because she is worried I or someone else might injure themselves, leaving her open to liability. Even trees nowhere near buildings, and small bushes will be cut to the ground.
