Take the pirates holding an American captain hostage for example, why are we playing games with this? Blow them up and be done with it, that's what's wrong they want to waste the tax payers money on games, ignorant games. Our government is supposed to represent us and I feel that the majority of us clearly feel that our money is being wasted on the human rights of people who are sub human. Murderers, rapists, serial killers, child molesters, etc. We need to quit wasting the tax payers money to keep these people alive period. Our appeals system clearly needs some adjusting. There should be no appeals system, once one is convicted, string them up and be done with it period! Yes, yes, yes, I know, mistakes have been made in the past, so, keeping someone in prison for 50 years is some how more human than just offing them and being done with it? It makes no sense. Think about it, if you were wrongfully convicted, would it be more merciful for our government to lock you away and make you live out the rest of your years in prison than to just off you and be done with it? It's like some one with a terminal illness, which is more humane, for them to hang on and linger for years in pain, or just to pull the plug and be done with it? It's common sense people kill the criminals and be done!

the gunfire from the pirates should have been the signal for the Navy to blow that lifeboat out of the water.

When the Navy heard that gunfire they should have presumed that either the Pirates had murdered Captain Phillips or that Captain Phillips was escaping.

I can but since Obama wants to give them a nice cushy trial and cell right here in the States, which is probably better living for them than they have ever had, I don't think his followers are going to go for it.

I totally agree. We should give more criminals life with no parole or execute them. Our prisons are overloaded to the point where they are going to have to start doing things differently. Many of the repeat offenders of serious crimes, like murder, child molestation, rape, are not safe to ever be let out again anyway. We need more death penalty punishment, not less.

According to the Demolemmings, the pirates are just exercising their basic human rights to take anything others have worked for. Remember, Demolemmings don't believe in being rewarded for work; they believe people should be rewarded for theft and the better thief you are, the better your reward.

But seriously, you are correct; the ship should just be blown out of the water, no survivors. Yes, that means hostages die, but unfortunately, there are always civilian casualties in war. After the ship is destroyed, attack known pirate ports and level them; leave nothing living within a ten mile radius.

Piracy should be considered an act of war and treated accordingly. Kidnapping, rape, child molestation, murder (for anything other than self defense or accident, and excluding unavoidable wartime deaths) should ALL be punished with swift execution. We need to have sympathy for the VICTIMS and other law-abiding citizens who are potentially TOMORROW'S victims if we don't rid society of this scum. I am disgusted with the bleeding-heart liberal mindset of these idiots. Obama voted (and was the only Senator to do so) that convicted pedophiles should be allowed to live and work next to schools, daycares, and playgrounds! Our Criminal Justice System only applies to Americans or Foreigners on American Soil.

As for following American Law Rush Limbaugh should have been twice convicted for his illegal oxi-cotin use/abuse and illegal viagra prescription (under his physician's name so not to be used against him inder his name and in viloation of F.D.A. prescription rules.)

Neither of the get tough on crime republicans served one day in prison or jail for their crimes. Yet our American Prison system is overflowing with non-violent drug cases.

Losing due process is too high price to pay. You are speaking of a police state. Wouldn't you want to be sure "beyond a reasonable doubt" those people deserve such punishment?
