It is always better to show up for court even if you don't want to show up. Even if it is a traffic violation some court systems may post a bench warrant for your arrest if you do not appear in court. Some might suspend your license for not answering the traffic citation. In any case you should show up for court just plea guilty and pay the fine. That way there is no further action being placed against you in a court of law.

If your ticket only has a court date on it and no guilty or not guilty option then yes you probably have to go to court. But you can try calling the court clerks office and ask them if you have the option not to appear and just pay the ticket.

as far as I know if the ticket you have received says to pay a fine then there will be an address on the ticket where to mail it too--however if the ticket gives you a court date for an appearance then you need to be in court--I have never had a ticket that gave me a court date to appear in--I had always received a ticket with a fine on it and if I wanted to plead not guilty then I would have top make a court appearance good luck

Most likely not. Call the police department or city bylaw department who issued the ticket, and they will give you instructions as to how to pay it.
