Unfortunately, you're going to have to tell them, the police will want their insurance details. I presume there's a strong chance you will lose your job, but you will just have to bite the bullet.

No and Yes. No they wont notify the employer directly, but if the vehicle was impounded they will know.If the vehicle wasn't impounded ,In most states (don't know yours) your license will be suspended, so your employer will ask why, if you drive company vehicles and are no longer able. Depending on the state you can apply for a restricted license so you have options. Get an attorney that's what they get paid to do, he or she will, explain your options and proceed accordingly.

Was the vehicle impounded? If so or not, more than likely they already know.

Yes. All driving infractions and tickets are mailed to the employer. Additionally, the company's auto insurer is notified. If you got into an accident in a company vehicle while under the influence, the victim (assuming you hit another individual's property or person) can theoretically sue your employer. Lawyers always go for the deepest pockets.

Yes, they will find out and u will be unemployed. Its a liability and the co cant afford to keep you.

Sorry you know you have done wrong and to admit that is the first step but with regards to the Police notifying your employer then more than likely yes. They will at least ask your employer IF you had permission to drive it which i hope you did or you could be facing a TWOC charge as well.

Even if the Police do not notify your employer what will you do IF the court finds you guilty. No licence so probably no job.

You got off likely just being caught. What about the other innocent motorists on the road at the time you were driving and not comletely in control of your vehilce, sorry company's vehicle. You were damn lucky not to put one of them in hospital or even worse.

Yes, in N.Y and N.J and also in Conn. the police notify the employers. They are getting serious about this stuff. You reap what you sow my friend. You should've thought about that before driving a company vehicle.

Have you been convicted yet?
If not then plead not guilty, and tell your employer that you are not guilty (say the police made a mistake). Your employer cannot sack you until you are convicted (and lose your licence), so that will give you some time to get another (non-driving) job with no stain on your character, and leave before you are pushed.

Good luck.
