When it comes to the crunch like wanting to appoint someone blue eyed person from within the organisation for a higher post which supposedly must be competed for, trade unions may resort to the same unfair selection process which are used by some businesses. Have you had an experience where a trade union have treated you or someone you know unfairly as employee? What happened and what makes the particular treatment unfair? Should trade unions offer their employees full rights from day one including the right not to be dismissed without fair process or fair reason within the probationary period ( or 1 year UK)?

Afterall trade unions profess to fighting to change the law to granting employees full procedural rights from day one of employment.

I broke my leg while at work, I had to do things like walk beams 30 ft in the air and such, the doctors told me I couldn't do these things anymore due to injuries I received on the job.
As soon as the doctor said that, the Union kicked me out without as much as a pot to piss in. Screw the Unions, they are out for nothing but themselves. They care not about the average worker, its all about their slush funds for union bosses. |
