Definitely not!! Are you gonna raise all the unwanted babies?? |

I do not think it should be banned. I do, however, think it should be an issue only for the mother and her doctor.
Uninvolved people (who will not be supporting the child emotionally or financially) should simply mind their own business and it should not be a matter for legislation! |

Absolutely NOT! First, no woman should be forced to remain pregnant against her will. Second, a ban on abortion will force many to seek dangerous, illegal back-alley abortions that could be fatal to the woman. Third, a ban on abortion will not allow for a woman to receive the procedure if she has been raped nor would it allow an exception to use the procedure as a life-saving method for the woman. Fourth, it should not be for the government or anybody else to determine what a woman should be allowed to do with her own body. Fifth, abortion is a legal issue and thus religion should not be a deciding factor as to its legality (this country believes in a separation of church and state). Sixth, many do not believe that life starts at conception but rather at birth or at the point that the fetus can survive on its own outside of the woman's body. A woman's right to choose should be hers and hers alone. As it is your right to believe in whatever it is you choose to believe, so too should others be able to believe in what they want. Roe v. Wade established the constitutional right for a woman to choose and thus should be respected. |

no i dont.. do you think in vitro fertilization should be banned? |

NO!!!!
This is a subject that cannot and should not be regulated. It is a deeply personal subject and it is a decision that needs to be made by the woman. Anything else will lead to more misery and more criminogenic situations.
Banning abortion will never get rid of abortion.
Providing assistance (not just short term, but for at least 16 years) to the pregnant woman may help her make the decision to keep the foetus. But unless society is ready to provide for the foetus until he/she is able to totally provide for him/herself, society has no right to force its opinion on women. |

No, of course it should NOT be banned. |

Wow nothing like walking into the room and letting it all hang out. What a question. I believe that abortion is wrong. I do believe it is taking an innocent life. These are my opinions. Other people are welcome to believe what they wish. I can think of a hundred horrible situations where abortion seems to be the world's "rational solution" (rape victims, drug addict parents, etc). But I still do not believe in abortion and it would not be my choice. |

Stupid A$$es
Veronica is just spewing tripe her mother told her.
Abortion is NOT birth control! how come we have to go to Africa, Korea, or Russia to get new borns for adoption? |
|

madmom

I sure do!!! The second that child is concieved it is a life! If you don't want it,there's always adoption. |

YES!!!!! ITS MURDER! |

yes, your mistake or someone elses shouldn't be the babies problem.
How would you respond in these situations?
1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th. They’re living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?
2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?
3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he’s upset. Would you recommend abortion?
In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century. In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven. In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer. If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ! |

Yes. Though I used to think differently, I now do believe abortion should be banned. I think now that if a person is irresponsible enough to have an unwanted pregnancy, she should carry the baby to full term and give birth. Then, give the child up for adoption. There are many who would want to adopt. Long waiting lists for adoptable babies. A child should have both parents, and there are many who are now trying to adopt. Partial birth abortion should be stopped immediately! |

well answer this question are you glad to be alive and shouldnt everyone get that chance |

yes except in extreme cases. there are waiting lists for adopting children. murder is murder. the baby has a heartbeat 25 days after conception that's before you even know you are pregnant. in the case where the mother will die before the baby is born that's a little different it then becomes a medical emergency and the baby will die either way. there are way too many women using abortion as a form of birth control and it makes me sick to my stomach |

Yes, killing is still killing. It doesn't matter if the child is born or not. |

IDK
I don't think its right though |

Definitely. The law in my country states that taking the life of another person is wrong, child or not. God gives life! who are we to take it away or decides who should be born and who shouldn't? Abortion is no less different than murder. It is also very selfish in my opinion. |

These people who talk about a woman and her rights make me crazy! It's not just her body that's in issue. If it were something that concerned only her it would be one thing, but it's a whole other story when there is another life inside of her body. Why do people keep acting as though a fetus isn't a human? When a child is conceived, it becomes a life with a soul and the ability to feel pain. Can you imagine what it feels like to be ripped to shreds? America stopped being blessed when abortion became legal. It's not ok to kill. |

Yes, if someone is not responceable enough to use contraceptives they should make sure the child lives a normal heathy life even if that means adoption. But even if it was illegal woman would still be doing it with a higher risk to there heath(which in some cases doesn't bother me if the hoochie has increased heath risks. children are miricles no matter how concevied. If socity cannot except that they are fools |

Yes, abortion is the same as murder. How would you have liked it if your mother had an abortion? |
|

launarine
|
yes i think abortion should be banned. When you have an arbortion what happens is you commit murder. Every second all over the world lives are being murder. For what ever reason some innocent child has to go through that pain. When you commit such an act you are not distroying some ones life but you are also destroying your life. After an arbortion the mother is left with the guilt and shame, the hurt and the pain, this may lead to a nervous break down, the you may start hallucinating, and you the person may be in a terrible. During prenatal stage a baby is said to have a heart beat, and once a heart start beating a life began. you may not want to go through the pain of an unwanted child or the discrimination in society but it is worth the cause of an physically mentally and emotinally break down. No its not! If any have to go through such dilema plz bear the shame go through with the pregnanycy and love the child. you could of be an arbortion. |

No. I do not think it should be banned. Having said that, I do not agree with the practice. We have over-legislated so many things. The laws we have are not enforced or sometimes unenforcible. Enough big brother already. Instead of being an anti-abortion activist, I would prefer to give moral support to mothers to be and hope they make the right choice for themselves and their unborn child.
Only God knows the number of hairs on each of our heads. In other words, we cannot foresee his plans.
Sure, there are a lot of people who can't conceive. Maybe they are not meant to have a child.
Sure, there are many who will choose to abort a child. Maybe God will show them a new path. That is between the woman and God.
My job (I think) is NOT TO JUDGE. My job is to love my brothers and sisters and pray that all of our paths will lead to a brighter and better future. My job is to try every day not to complicate that future.
If I saw a child in danger of murder, I would place myself between that child and danger. Unfortunately, we cannot place ourselves within the womb. We can pray. |
