I don't support the death penalty, it sets a bad example, it endorses killing in order to settle a score. Thats why states and countries that have the death penalty have higher crime rates than those that don't. I do not "support" abortion, but it is a woman's private business, not mine, not yours, and there can be perfectly valid reasons for getting one--I heard a case about a Republican pro-life woman in the Midwest who got a problem pregnancy, if brought to term it was going to kill her. So she had it aborted. And she learned something--abortions are a serious business, nothing that Big Government or politicians should weigh in to for their own political advantage. Political Ideology--I love and support the Constitution.

Death penalty hard because people do go to jail while innocent sometimes. Abortion is an individual choice and we have no right to deny a woman that choice.

I find that people who do not believe in abortion, push to have a person executed when she or he is of age and commits a capital crime. And people who are pro choice are usually against the death penalty.

I think the death penality is a bit stupid, hard labour and/or life in prison should replace it.

Abortion should be the mother's choice, it doesn't matter if it's considered "murder".

This is a hard one! Maybe too deep for 9:30 pm, but I'll give it a go.

Death penalty- It may be an "easy" way out, but it is a waste of hard earned tax dollars to keep them alive.

Abortion- It is sad to think that you don't want, or don't think you can't handle a baby. Unfortunately this is very close to home for me. I wasn't sure if my body could handle another pregnancy, and the thought crossed my mind.

I don't regret the decision that I made. I can't looking at her big beautiful smile. There are many different scenarios that revolve around abortion. It is not my place, nor anyone else's to decide for them. It is a decision that they will live with forever.

For capital punishment, I believe it's taking one life for another and is wrong.

I only believe in abortion in cases such as rape or the mother and baby are put into a dangerous situation. What if a 12-year old girl and is raped and ends up pregnant, why should she have to have the baby, especially because a) her body is too young to handle it and b) because it wasn't her fault? If it's not one of the latter, it's your problem and you have to give birth to the baby. Just because you didn't take your concraception or didn't use protection, doesn't make killing a baby fair. It's murder.

I do not agree with death penalty , because mistakes are made and this one can not be corrected.

I am pro choice because , that is what it is choice. If you do not want to do it do not! I personally would never do it, may be because I am male? :) But I would not want my partner to do it either. Would I force it on other women? No.
You can either support it all the way or not. If you think that any abortion is a murder then it is your choice and I can respect it. But , I do not agree with it. I would not force this law on a raped woman or molested girl or if there is a health danger to the mother. If you have exceptions to this rule, then it is allowing limited "murder". So my choice is to support abortion all the way. I definitely do not believe people use it as contraceptive!

Death penalty trials cost an average of 48% more than the average cost of trials in which prosecutors seek life imprisonment. It is actually more expensive to kill someone. With at least 2 lawyers mandatory for most death penalty case, and appeals that go for years it becomes more expensive to kill someone than keep them in prison. also, every month you see people exonerated by DNA evidence and they were on death row. Statistics show that 10% of inmates on death row are innocent, and leads you to believe that we have therefore executed innocent people. There is in all states "Life without the possibility of Parole" which means that inmate will NEVER interact with society again. IF there is even the possiblity of killing an innocent person, don't you think that is grounds enough for a moratorium on the death Penalty? And are we to teach people it is wrong to kill by killing people? Taking a life is taking a life, regardless of what "title" someones carries who commits the murder. And the part I love about the people who answer this questions is those who support the death penalty are screaming for someone to be killed, hoping and wishing for another persons death, "its wrong to kill so we must kill them!"..that is absolutely rediculous. It also strikes me as amusing that the so called "Pro-Lifers" who picket abortion clinics and say abortion is wrong are usually the people screaming for someone to be put to death.

I'm a Republican, but definitely a moderate one. I believe the death penalty is not punishment at all, but a necessary practice for the protection of a peaceful society. To remove people who are without a shadow of a doubt violent and dangerous and should not be allowed to persist.

I don't 'believe in' abortion, but I also don't accept anyone else having the authority to tell me what to do or not to do with my body. A fetus is only an individual when it is outside the womb, when in gestation it's the woman's right to decide what to do with it.

I believe that some people deserve the death penalty for the crimes that they com it, some times its so horrendous you cant believe that they can thing of such a crime. Baby's are not to be kilt.

No death penalty unless you there is 110% proof like footage etc because sometime people I am sure are imprisoned fasely but yes because otherwise because it would save us on taxes.

As for abortion, I am muslim and have always regarded that as definite no because its my relgion and its not right althoug i am dating a catholic boy in secret and if we ever fell pregnant I might re-consider because otherwise I would be disowned and most likely threatened if someone found out!

So yes and no...?

Death Penalty: Yes. Bypass appeals when DNA/video/several witness's overwhelmingly proves the case. I support changing Child Molestation to the list of Capitol crimes.

Abortion: Yes for adults. NO for children without court involvement. Somebody committed a crime in order for that child to get pregnant. That person needs severe punishment. The parents need to be involved if they are not complicit to the pregnancy.

i believe in the death penalty, but not abortion. it's wrong to kill a baby before they've even had a chance on earth, but it's ok to kill someone who is a danger to others and who has killed others, and will again if not killed.
