I am thinking of taking a business to the small claims court in the UK, but i am only 17. can i still do this?
if not, then can a parent or someone else represent me?

If you're under 18 then yes, you would need to do this though your "next friend" or "litigation friend" which would be your legal guardian. Also bear in mind that under 18 contracts you have entered into may not be legally binding.
Before you go to small claim you should probably consult a solicitor, or failing that, another advisory service like the Citizens Advice Bureau, to see if you actually have legal grounds to sue. Although small claims isn't supposed to need a solicitor, you may be at a disadvantage if the other party hires one for the case. |
