Yes, I own several. I enjoy target shooting and hunting. I also feel that it is important to be able to defend myself and my family if need be.

Yes I do and I know how to use it. Having and carrying a gun levels the playing field. An armed attacker and an unarmed attackee is never a level playing field. I prefer to level.

I have it to protect my family. I also have an alarm system, security lights, and a protective guard dog. When all else fails, you know.
I don't live in a gated community that's all sunshiney gumdrops. Things happen here, just like they do everywhere else. I'd rather be prepared than dead.

yup!..two 12 gauge shotguns..one primarily for skeet shooting, one w/turkey choke for turkey hunting....one .308 Remington rifle w/redfield scope for deer season....they all double as fine hunting guns, and more than adequate firearms in case some dope head decides to enter my home without permission and threaten me...which is not a strange occurance anymore...by the way were you aware that thieves are the #1 advocate of gun control? wonder why?

and would probably shoot myself before anyone else

Yes. A modified colt 1911 .45 ACP, and a Sig Sauer P226 for concealed carry. Oh yeah and if you count my standard issue M16 than that too.

No. I've never seen a reason to have one.

I grew up with guns and am a decent shot, but as an adult, have never seen a need for one (except for when I was in the military).

I believe that people should have the right to own guns, the right to an abortion, and whatever rights we have left that the government hasn't taken away from us yet. Just because I am not exercising a right doesn't mean that I want it taken away from anyone else.

People who own guns are more likely to shoot themselves in the foot than have to defend themselves from an intruder. The world might be big and scary but I'll take my chances without weapons.

Yes, more than one. Why? I used to hunt and target shoot. Don't much anymore. I guess I am saving them to give to my grandsons. I do feel safer with them in the house since my area is teeming with meth heads.
