Do you support marijuana legalization and NOT smoke pot?

If so or if not, why? I'm on the fence with the issue and I never hear enough from non-users.

I don't smoke or drink but I think that marijuana( I don't smoke that either) should be legalized and treated like alcohol or tobacco. If its regulated I don't see why there would be a problem. An entire decade(The hippies) smoked weed and they are now the doctors and lawyers of today. I've had enough of people acting like its a demon weed when alcohol is legal and just as bad.

I've never used an illegal drug. I've been in law enforcement and a lot of resources (money) is used to fight the drug war. A lot of law enforcement doesn't want it to be made legal, and they will give you lots of reasons why it shouldn't be. What they won't tell you is that it's profitable to law enforcement to keep it illegal. They get funding (your tax money) for their departments that they can use in many instances for whatever they want to use it for. Too many resources are used prosecuting marijuana users and sellers. It should be legalized, then it can be regulated like alcohol and tobacco is. Granted it won't be perfect but it will be better than the situation that exist now.
