Do you think Al Sharpton's....?

15 minutes are up? I do! First he's yammering about Imus, and ( yes, it was wrong what Imus said to the Rutger's team but he shouldn't have gotten fired over it.) NOW, Mr. Sharpton is being a total hypocrite, and has made bigoted statements regarding presidential candidate Mitt Romney for being a Mormon- and not a Christian. Al Sharpton needs to shut his trap!

Hi Chula- well, to answer your question, I DO think what Imus said was very wrong, but he didn't deserve to be fired over it. He went and prayed with the Rutger's team, and they forgave him. But to me, it was like a witch hunt. I am not agreeing with what he called those poor women at ALL- I just believe the whole concept of political correctness has gone way too far. One can't say ANYTHING anymore for fear of reprisal. Have you ever heard Imus's show? It's nothing like Howard Stern- Imus makes fun of everyone. But I agree, what he chose to call the Rutger's team members was definitely a no no. I'm against him being fired because it just strengthens the fact that one cannot say whatever they want anymore, and that is dangerous territory. Censorship always is.

Mormons ARE Christian (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). As a lifelong LDS member, I resent his comments! People don't have to agree but his comments were totally uncalled for.

I think Al Sharpton is great!!! I love the way he makes a fool of himself.

on a serious note though the best thing about Al is that he really believes in what he is doing and even though he is not always right on the issues or accusing the right person of some heinous deed, he IS right sometimes. And the one time that he is right, because of his media power he will be able to set something straight.

until then he should be on SNL.
