Well the age of consent in Italy,Bulgaria,Peru,China(except Hong Kong), Albania,Hungary,Serbia are all 14.
Another question:Hypothetically speaking,If I go to one of these countries and marries a 14 yr old girl,would I be prosecuted by America?? since I'm a US citizen?

Hey I'm just saying,hypothetically.It's not like I'm a pervert,creep,weirdo,,etc who's into a 14 yr old girls or any under age girl for that matter cause I"m actually not.

The age of consent is already 16 in most states. I would not want it to be any lower as most teenagers really don't have that much control over their emotions yet.
Plus, your argument that we should do the same as others is very bad logic. In Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, one can marry someone as young as 9. And the Ayatollah Khomeini wrote that a girl should have her first period in her husbands house. That is not an argument that we should do the same. |

Your marriage would be recognized in America, though you may be looked down on for it. And also America doesn't set the age of consent, each state does. The youngest being 16 i believe. Also, you can marry anyone of any age, you just need the proper paperwork and the parents' consent. Though it would be wrong to do most any of this |

Japan has them all beat with the age of consent at 13 years old however i think that is wrong, 17 maybe but cutting it , 18 i agree with 14 is to young
