Well i personally believe that it shouldn't be.
It is killing a person who hasn't even had the opertunity to become a person yet. Many people say, well what about rape? I answere that question with another question. Did Mary ask to get pregnat with Jesus? |

I think, and the Supreme Court agrees that a woman has a fundamental right to privacy. This means that the government does not have the right to tell her what to do with her body.
Sorry if that doesn't mesh well with the archaic and silly beliefs outlined in a 2,000 year old book of fairy tales. |

I think that regardless, it should be legal. (I'm not trying to start a fight, either.) I think that abortion, although terrible, is a very personal decision that can be scripted by many things. I don't think that government should restrict it because I think that women will simply get them elsewhere where it is not safe. Worse, raise a child in a loveless household. Is adoption a better alternative? Yes, but I certainly wouldn't be able to give a child away because I didn't want it, and I don't think a lot of women would have the courage to either. I don't think that if I was a women I would get an abortion, but I think it's silly to restrict it. |

yes, it should be left to one's choice; rather than enforcing it legally or otherwise... |

as of now it is.and is the right of a woman to do so.states can change their laws if they choose not to support it.although i may not agree with it,and i don't. i wouldn't want to lose any rights we now have. |

It already is legal, and religion should be kept to one's self, do not impose your beliefs on others.
Your right, it shouldn't be a woman's choice, it should be that woman's choice that has to make the choice.
Also, it should absolutely stay legal. |

I believe that no person should be able to force another person in to being a parent.
A woman has a choice, a man should have the same choice. I am not saying that a man can force a woman to have an abortion, but i am saying that a man should be able to have a "legal" abortion, by completely severing any parental responsibilities for a undesired child, just as a woman can by medical abortion. A woman has this choice regardless of any male protest. To be equal and fair a male should have the same choice. |

It has been legal since 1968. And if it was made illegal people would have it done anyway in butcher shops like it was done before causing many deaths and leaving women mutilated so they could not conceive if and wen they wanted to. If a woman chooses not to have that procedure its her right to do so. But on the other hand she should not be forced out of her choice to do what she wants with her body. |

When you create human life it dose not give you the right to kill it . Being smart and educated is a better solution . |

in some situations it's necessary. i think if a persons got a genuine reason then sure, why not, it's completely up to them at the end of the day. but if they are doing it for selfish reasons and the like then i'm against it. |

I personally believe that it should be legal and everyone needs to mind their own business about it. It wasn't someone else's decision to have a child, so why would it be their business for someone to decide to keep it or take it away?
If a woman wants an abortion, she is going to do it regardless of if its legal or not (just like people do with pretty much everything else that is illegal in this world). So the woman will do horrible things like falling down stairs, using a clothes hangar, etc. and will do bodily harm to the woman. So my point is, why not make it legal and safe at a hospital where it will not do harm to the woman. |

Yes, it is the woman's choice. Why should a woman be forced to continue a pregnancy that could kill her and the child? Your opinion is based on your religious beliefs and that is fine for you. Her life and her choice and totally her right. |

Yes. You know those things called human rights? Well, forcing a woman to have a kid is depriving her of humanrighs. Its basically a political form of rape, forcing a woman to have a kid |

I feel that abortion is murder. I used to be a rabid pro-choicer, but thank God I'm not that person anymore. I honestly am fearful for the future with a person like Obama in power. |
